Are You Using A Lead Capture Page?

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

You might find this hard to believe, but some people still don’t know what a lead capture page is, or they are not using one or maybe even both. So the question is. Are you using a lead capture page? (You should be).

First let’s go over the basics.

What is a lead capture page?

A lead capture page is a small 1 page website that gives away bits of information, and sometimes even a free gift. In order for a user to get more information, or receive their free gift they must then enter in their name, and e-mail address.

.

What is the point of a lead capture page?

Having a lead capture page allows you to capture people’s names and e-mail addresses. This information is like gold if used correctly. You can easily follow up with people on new products, businesses, and so on. Having an “email list” as the guru’s call it is one of the most powerful things online, and will allow you to make repeat sales month after month.

So if your one of the people who still send all their web traffic directly to a website (that doesn’t collect a name and e-mail address) then you are doing business the wrong way, and could be losing out on a lot of money. I think its time you upgrade and start using a lead capture page.

Are You Using Twitter?

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

twitter-imageTwitter is becoming a very popular place not only to socialize and communicate with other people, but also a place where you can market and grow your business online.

If you have no idea what Twitter is I’ll help bring you up to speed.

Twitter is an easy and quick way to share information with people online. People follow you, and they can see your “Tweets” or messages you post instantly. The more people you have following you the more people see you’re “Tweets” (messages).

Sounds dumb how do this help my business?

I thought the same thing. I made a Twitter account actually 3 months ago, but never used it because I thought it was stupid to be honest. However after hearing more about it, and reading peoples stories of how they are using it to expand their business led to me logging back into my account.

This time around I had a different attitude towards Twitter though. I caved in and bought this small e-book for $7 teaching me how to use Twitter as a business tool. Within 20 minutes of finishing the 10 page e-book I already had over 200 people following me. I was shocked at how easy and fast it was to get followers (something I use to think was boring and hard to do).

Then someone on Twitter recommended I use www.tweetburner.com to track my URL’s on my Twitter account. Now after 2 days of applying the steps in the e-book I had over 600 followers, and using the recommended site tweetburner I was able to track my traffic from Twitter and each URL I was sending out in a “Tweet” or message was getting 30 – 50 clicks! This was real free traffic.

So my question is….are you using Twitter yet to help build your business?
