Free Tracking Program

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

The other day Tim Linden released a new and improved TE Tool Box.

TE Tool Box is a simple tracking system that will help take the guess work out of what works, and what doesn’t work when it comes to your marketing. I’m big on tracking all of your links, and TE Tool Box is a great tool that allows you to track your results for free.

Not only will you be able to track your traffic, but you’ll also be able to do other things such has create thank you page ads which can be place on your website with a simple line of code, and can greatly increase your profits if you own a website that has a thank you page.

I signed up yesterday had a look around and this is some of the best tracking software I’ve seen that you can get absolutely for free. Of course you can upgrade and get more perks, and be able to track more, but if you just want to track a couple of links then the free option will be the best for you.

Here is an image I took of a few links I’m currently tracking. You can view your tracking stats daily, weekly, and monthly.

Do You Track Your Stats?

Traffic Stats

Traffic Stats

I’ll admit I never really tracked any of my stats until just about a year ago. Up until that point the only stats I ever tracked where my leads I got from Google Adwords. The reason for this was I never really knew how to setup the tracking or where to even get some good tracking software or a tool to help me.

I knew I had to find something though, because I had no clue if my marketing dollars where being put to good use or not, and we all know wasting money isn’t a good thing.

So I started working with a few programs to help me track my stats and conversions, and I’ll tell you it’s made a world of a difference in my business. Some places that I use to think worked out great actually worked out poorly. I would have never known this though if I wasn’t tracking my stats from start to finish.

Here are a few places I highly recommend you try and use to track your stats.

Google Analtyics – This is a free program created by Google, and it will help you track where all of your website traffic is coming from. It will even break it down to the time of day, and location. This is a great tool to see how much traffic your website is receiving, and where the majority of your traffic is coming from. One really cool feature I like about Google Analytics is they also tell you what keywords people have searched to find your website. This is a must have, and its completely free.

Hits Connect – It won’t tell you how much traffic your website gets on a daily basis, but what it will do is tell you what marketing is converting into sales for you. This is huge, because you want to spend money on marketing that you know is working. Hits Connect will help you tracks where your sales come from. They have a free option that allows you to track up to 10 campaigns, or they have a paid option for $19.95/m that allows you to track unlimited amount of campaigns. I highly recommend the paid option as it will pay for its self time after time as tracking your sales is a must.

Prosper202 – This is a new tracking software program that I found about a month ago. If you are an affiliate marketer and use Google Adwords a lot this is a must have for you then. It’s free, and you host the tracking software on your own website. This does take work to install, and you will need to know a little bit about computers and your websites back office to set it up. This will help you track down what keywords make you a sale.

Ok so there you go. If your not tracking yet then you have some work to do. I can almost guarantee once you do start tracking everything you’ll be shocked at what you find and see in your data.
