Are Super/Mega Solo Ads Worth The Price?

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

I’m sure by now you’ve seen that a lot of safelists, and text ad exchanges now offer super or mega solo ads (including Smart Safelist). The question though is are they really worth the money?

To find out I put my money to the test so you wouldn’t have to. I purchased a number of super solo ads.

Below is a screen shot of my stats from the super solo ads I submitted.

In the image above you can clearly see my average number of clicks was around 600 (the 381 one was sent just yesterday).

So after buying a number of ads and testing them out here is what I think.

  • Most of them are worth the price. Shop around as some are cheaper then others.
  • Don’t send your traffic directly to a sales page. It’s very important you send all your traffic to a lead capture page to get the best results for your money.
  • Take the OTO (one time offer). You get more solo ads for your money.

Super Power Ads Are Coming

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

Well it’s been a long time since my last post.

Over the past month I’ve taken a vacation (Western Caribbean cruise) and started to work a few new things, and I’m currently doing a little house shopping as well. So with everything that is going on I’ve had little time to update my blogs.

Anyhow I wanted to announce that Smart Safelist will soon have Super Power Ads. This will be a new solo ad that you can buy that will go out to more people giving you another effective and cost efficient way to advertise your website/business.

Why You Should Buy Solo Ads

Monday, March 9th, 2009

When I first started working online some 4+ years ago I started out using mainly free traffic methods. My #1 way of marketing online at the time was simply by writing and submitting articles. However I knew at some point and time that just wasn’t going to cut it, and that’s exactly what had happened.

I had to expand my marketing and look for other ways to get my business and image in front of more eyes. I’ve heard a few people mention “Solo Ads” to me before, however since I was just starting out I was afraid to dump any type of money into my marketing.

This fear though was holding me back, and I knew I had to start spending money if I really wanted to take my business to the next level. So I gave in and purchased my first ever Solo Ad. For those of you who don’t know what a Solo Ad is it’s simply a stand along email message that is sent to X amount of peoples contact email addresses.

So my Solo Ad was sent out, and within about 30 – 45 minutes of sending the solo ad I notice a huge jump in the amount of leads my website was getting. Here it turns out the solo ad pulled in over 30 leads for my business. After about week of receiving emails from me (from my auto responder) 3 of the 30 leads upgraded, and became a paying member of my business I was in at the time.

This may not sound like a good conversion rate, but the solo ad only cost $15, and since I had 3 people upgrade to paying members I made over $500 in my business I was in so the ROI (return on investment) was great.

So if you are searching for other ways to market online I recommend trying solo ads. They are an extremely effective way of advertising, and I’ve been using this method of advertising for over 3 years.

If you’re unsure of where to buy solo ads from I’ll help you out.
